MarrVelous Pet Rescues & Adoptions is an entirely volunteer run organization. Our Board of Directors donate their time and energy to helping grow our group and promote awareness throughout our community.
Meet the people who make it all possible
Joy C. Martin
Joy is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is the owner of Marr Properties, Inc. in Key Largo, FL, and American Caribbean Real Estate in Islamorada, FL. She is has been helping rescue animals for as long has she can remember. Her love for animals shows in all aspects of her life. She owns multiple animals including horses that she keeps at her barn in the Redland (Homestead).
She serves on the Advisory Board of the First State Bank of the Florida Keys, as a Board member of Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys and in her spare time, is a member of the South Florida Trail Riders and Committee Co-Chairperson to the South Florida Junior Trail Riders. These last two allow Joy and Brad to indulge their passionate love of horses (they have three plus a mini). They enjoy Winter camping and riding with them in Florida's many parks and preserves, including Everglades National Park.

Stephanie Clark
Stephanie is a licensed Realtor at Marr Properties in Key Largo and has lived in south Florida for over 20 years. She truly loves the Keys lifestyle, friendly, relaxed and fun. Stephanie, her husband Scott and their 2 dogs love to go boating, camping, fishing, diving, hiking and anything else that lets them experience the great outdoors. They love the water, and for them, there is no better place in the world to live than the Florida Keys. They both are hard working and enjoy our spectacular surroundings obligations permit.

Patricia Ives
Patricia is an Administrator and works in the Marketing Department of Marr Properties and American Caribbean Real Estate. She has lived in the Florida Keys all her life and has now begun raising her family here as well. She has a passion for animals and has a rescue kitty at home. When she was growing up, she had aspirations to become a veterinarian but decided against it because she couldn't bear to see animals in pain. By being a part of Marr-velous Pet Rescues, she is fulfulling her desire to help animals in need.

Dawn Cale
Dawn and her family have lived in the upper Keys for many years. She is a loving, compassionate person who has the best interests of all the animals at heart. She and her family have recently adopted one of rescue dogs, Bindi, with whom they just fell in love.

Michele Beach
Michele Beach is the owner of The UPS store located at MM 99.6 in Key Largo and the UPS store in the plaza Building at Ocean Reef. A life-long animal advocate Michele also volunteers as a writer for Best Friends Animal Society and is completing a series animal adventure childrens' book. She is the event coordinator for our annual event Woofstock, A Day of Peace, Paws and Music. She is also a board member for Fair Insurance Rates of Monroe (FIRM) and Gulfstream Shores Association. Michele spends her free time with the two most important males in her life- Her husband Ray and fur baby Hooper.

I adopted my first dog from Marrvelous Pet Rescues 3 years ago when I was at the age of 64 and thus began my affection for animals and animals in need. While I have been an activist for many groups over the years I soon realized how important caring for animals was for us here in the keys. I treasure the time I give to Marrvelous Pet Rescue. I have been a resident of the keys for over 30 years and a real estate agent for 37 years. I love Key Largo and totally enjoy all that I do here, working at Marr Properties, being an active Rotarian, on the board of Habitat for Humanity and Marrvelous Pet Rescue, kayaking, knitting, weaving and caring for Merlin, my Marrvelous Pekingese.
