MarrVelous Pet Rescues & Adoptions is a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit corporation finding homes for animals in need of a family. Animals we adopt out often have medical needs prior to being placed in homes and funding for these services comes through donations from our supporters.
If you would like to help, but cannot adopt a pet at this time, we - and the animals - would be thankful for your donation. All donations are used exclusively for the animals, as the entire organization is run by an all-volunteer staff.
Thank you for all of your support and help.
Currently, we are in desperate need of dog kennels, houses, runs, food, beds, leashes and collars, cat litter and other things for the kitties, etc.

Puppy Mill Rescue Dogs
We were recently contacted to assist with an over abundance of neglected dogs rescued from a Florida breeders literal barn of ill kept malnutrioned dogs used for breeding. The dogs were kept in cages made out chicken wire which made it very hard for the dogs to move and also caused injury to their feet when they would get tangled in the mesh. One of the dogs we are able to help lost one of her paws due to it getting stuck in the wire without proper medical attention. A Yorkie, now known as Riley, has severe malnutrional issues and sadly also has heartworm. Heartworm is easily preventable with a monthly pill but can be deadly to this little guy and all the others not on preventative. Of course this is an expense monthly and the breeder was using the dogs and not caring for them, and when they died there was always another one to take their place. All of the dogs have come to us with Extremely Poor nutrition and care which have caused them to have complications relative to same including but not limited to each one of them requiring dental treatments, ear infections, skin issues for severe matting etc. One of the Yorkies, Alf had 10 teeth pulled this week that were rotting. We were able to help 2 Schnauzers, 2 Yorkies, 1 Pomeranian and 1 Chihuahua. This was a huge commitment for our rescue group, but one we felt compelled to undertake. It is truly a collaborative effort and we had many people help getting the animals to us, including Pilots and Paws, Renee Stephen for ground transport, Mimi and Mickey, and Michele Wright who coordinated, without these volunteers they would have never made it to us. All our caring fosters that agreed to take in these pups - Kudos! Criminal charges are pending against the breeder-owner. We are asking for any donations that could be used to help in the treatment of these rescues - now known as Alf, Riley, Whitney, Bogie, Sarge and Bear - Every little bit helps -Remember when you purchase a puppy from a store you very well could be contributing to these inhumane breeder businesses.
